Water quality requirements of white shrimp:

(1) Water temperature: 23-32°C can be cultured, but the optimum temperature is 18-30°C, feeding stops at 18°C, and dies at 9°C.

(2) Salinity: It can be cultivated at 5-40, but the optimum salinity is 10-25, if it is slowly reduced, it can tolerate 1-2 salinity.

(3) pH: 8.0±0.3 is the best, if the pH is lower than 7.0, it will be affected.

(4) Dissolved oxygen: above 4ppm, not below 2ppm.

(5) Chemical oxygen demand: between 5 and 30 ppm.

(6) Transparency: 35±5 cm.

(7) Water color: green or reddish brown.

(8) Nutrient salt: Phosphate 0.1～0.3 mg/L

(9) Silicate 2.0 gm/L

(10) Ammonia nitrogen below 0.4ml/L

(11) Those with larger nitrogen and phosphorus ratios can produce diatoms.
