Professional biodegradable PLA modified masterbatch

PLA full biodegradation conditions:

Under the composting environment,PLA ill be decomposed into lactic acid. After the polymer is decomposed,

lactic acid will be engulfed by bacteria and then converted into water and carbon dioxide.

It will take about 90-180 days depending on the size and thickness of the product and the composting environment.

A compostable environment refers to the existence of three main elements:

High temperature ( 58~70 ℃ ), high humidity, bacteria.

(1) Sufficient relative humidity of more than 90%.

(2) Sufficient oxygen (non-closed environment).

(3) Appropriate temperature.

Product Introduction

PLA takes annually renewable resources – corn, cassava and other plants as raw material. After fermentation by microorganisms, lactic acid will be extracted, then PLA will be produced through a process of refining, dehydration polymerization, high temperature pyrolysis and final polymerization. Modified PLA hes has excellent biodegradable property. After disposal, within one year, it can be degraded into carbon dioxide and water by microorganisms in the soil, and do no harm to our environment. PLA is a kind of aliphatic polyester with basic characteristics of general micromolecule materials. PLA modified masterbatch has good machanical properties, low shrinkage, and is competent to the application of most synthetic plastics, also it s widely used in the production of package materials, disposable tableware,household electrical appliance shell, fiber, 3D supplies etc.

Because modified PLA masterbatches derives from plant resoures but not the petroleum-based traditional plastics, so it can truely realize energy-saving and enviromental protection, and PLA is considered to be the most promising new ecological material.
